جرينستون هو برمجيات مفتوحه المصدر ، ونحن نشجع على هذا النحو مطورين من المجتمع للمساهمه. ينبغي علي المطورين الجدد التحقق من getting started و, صفحة register بوصفه مطور.
لتكون فكرة عن تطور جرينستون ، ربما تحتاج لمراجعة مدونة المطورين ، أو الانضمام إلى القائمة البريديه للمطورين.

r42342 by anupama @ 10.52 pm, 11th SeptemberDocumentEditing had broken with an error loading the dbdriver in DBDrivers. I thought this was because DBDrivers wasn't in the perl INC path. But infodbtype wasn't set in modmetadataaction inherited from baseaction when it read in the colcfg file, as now since revision 42088, the inexport::read_collection_cfg (not the colcfgxml::read_collection_cfg, which works as before I think) no longer returns a list of objects (config_filename and collect_cfg) but just the colcfg data object. This was very hard to debug, especially since putting the code back or checking out an older version of greenstone before compiling with ant install no longer worked, as at some point some java files had different (new tomcat related) import statements that always broke compilation.
